Do I need internet to use Nexus School OS?＋
No. Nexus School OS is fully offline-first. Once installed and licensed, it runs entirely on your local machine. Internet is only needed for the initial download and optional Google Drive backups (Diamond tier).
How do I install my license after paying?＋
After your payment is confirmed, you will receive a signed license file (license.nexus) by email. On first launch, the app detects no license and shows the activation screen. Click "Activate" and select the file. The app binds it to your hardware automatically.
Can I use one license on multiple computers?＋
Each license is hardware-bound to one desktop/laptop. The Android teacher companion app does not consume a license slot — unlimited teachers can pair. If you need a second admin machine, contact us for a multi-seat arrangement.
How do I update Nexus School OS?＋
The app checks for updates automatically on launch (when internet is available). You will see a notification banner. Click "Download Update" — the new version installs while the current version remains running, then swaps on next launch.
Is there a free trial?＋
Yes — the app ships with DEV_MODE which lets you explore every feature with sample data before purchase. Simply request a demo link via WhatsApp and we will walk you through a live session.
What happens when my license expires?＋
You enter a 7-day grace period — all features remain active. After grace, the app enters read-only mode: you can still view historical records and print previously generated report cards. Renew from the portal to restore full access.
